Software Engineer - Informatica, Thomson Reuters

Develop ETL processes to extract, transform and load data to the data warehousePerformance tune Informatica ETL mappings
Perform code reviews for ETL mappings from a performance perspective
o Act as a liaison between various technology teams, support teams, and business units to analyze, document, review, and secure agreement on business requirements
o Design and execute business test scenarios for unit testing and communicate with developers any issues
o Participate in a rotating group with evening and weekend on-call responsibilities
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/MCA/BCA/B.Sc
3 years of experiance- Experience writing requirement specifications and design documents for Information Systems
- Hands-on experience working with database tools, particularly Oracle
- Extensive knowledge of SQL
- Effective problem solving, data analysis and issue resolution skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team on multiple, competing priorities
- History of meeting deadlines in uncertain environments, and delivering high quality results
- Proven ability to appropriately identify, take ownership, and focus on highest priority tasks
- Ability to manage time effectively according to priorities and timelines
- Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as strong interpersonal skills. As a result, the qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including other software engineers, developers, as well as business end-users
- Strong documentation skills a must
- Unix Skills- Knowledge of SAP modules preferably SAP SD, FI/CO and MM
- Knowledge of Business Objects WEBI/Crystal
- Informatica ETL Experience
